The end of an era and the future for Canadian news photographers.

As of December 31, 2007 the Eastern Canadian News Photographers Association will no longer be an organization.
Just as the ECNPA was born out of the Ontario News Photographers Association, the ECNPA and WCNPA have merged to create Canada's first national new photographers association. The News Photographers Association of Canada has been a project in the works for more than a decade and we hope that you will continue to support the industry by becoming a member.
Until the official shutdown of ECNPA.com on December 31, 2007, you can still view all the content on the website and on our BBS, though you can no longer post to it. We encourage you to read and participate on the new forums at NPAC.ca. There will be no further updates to this website.
To begin your journey with Canada's first and only national organization for news photographers click the graphic above and head to the NPAC.ca Store to become a member today.
Due to the complications of starting a new website and organization made up from two independent groups, memberships will unfortunately be non-transferable because we are starting a new organization and shutting down the ECNPA and WCNPA.
If you sign-up now your new membership will be valid for the remainder of 2007 and all of 2008. If you’re currently a member of the ECNPA or WCNPA and don’t want to join NPAC, you will still be able to enter into this year’s NPAC’s NPOY.
As with all new endeavors, there will be some growing pains, but we assure you that these will be short lived and quickly acted upon. Much of the content contained in these pages will be transfered to the new website. We are looking towards an exciting future for Canadian photojournalism and we hope that you will join us.
